So Brewfest is great fun, but geez, my normal mount feels so...slow now! I'm also lamenting now that I didn't get the silly ram last year since it's now a drop. They did at least hotfix it so that you can get the ram and/or kodo as a drop, but it must be a pretty low rate. I did it 7 times Saturday, Hubby did it 8. No mounts. Did it another 11 times yesterday - the remote dropped...but again, no mount. The remote, fwiw, is a very cool toy - hubby won that roll and were pleased. We have resolved that we will run AV tonight and summon up a mole machine and see if half the BG disappears. So far, my druid picked up the crack pipe (in case I ever get addled and spec moonkin!) and the Direbrew Hops - which replaced her Lower City Prayerbook, and my hunter got the Mug of Direbrew.

We did our threes after our BRD attempts, and OMG. Banderas was hopeful that the hardcore PVPers were all over playing Warhammer. I think the opposite is true - all the NON hardcores must be. Every team we ran into was one of the cookie cutter ideal builds. We armoried some of them - we started at barely 1600 - most of the teams we played had ratings in the 1500's but the players were often wielding S3 or S4 weapons, several also had S3 shoulders. There is something fundamentally broken with the team ranking/matching when we consistently come up against teams like this. There should be some intelligence to the system...when multiple players on your team are wearing full S3 regalia, that team should maybe start out playing 1800 ranked teams even if you just made that team. As it is, it seems like they just make new teams every week or two for the hell of it and do the arena equivalent of gank lowbies in Southshore. The system is stacked against entry and putting arena rankings on the honor gear just makes it worse. We ended the night back in the 1400's. Hubby convinced us to play one last game after the 10 losses, and we won it, so we get to say we weren't shut out. But just...damn, we have NEVER gone 0-10 before. Not even with our absolute newb teams.
Played some more Warhammer. Remain underwhelmed. Plus my system seems to be on the low end to run it and having it suddenly turn into a slideshow at random times probably isn't helping any. Also had two unexplained crashes. Tried the PvP scenario again, same result as last time except worse. I'd rather run AB...and I hate AB. Plus side: managed to do well enough in a public quest to get a blue. (Hubby got a purple on his Chaos character) Also realized that PQ's are of super limited playability - if you aren't on the level curve as the server progresses, it seems like it will be very hard, if not impossible, to complete them. So you change your mind about your class in a couple of weeks...PQs may not be something you can do, cause they sure are not soloable. We did the very buggy orcs and corsairs invade the beach one over the weekend...with 5 people doing it Saturday, it failed at the second step every time. With 12 running it Sunday evening, it went fine. But once everyone moves past it...?
